Bramble Green is a family run business founded by Claire Taylor-McCooke in 2016. The business is based near the famous Dark Hedges in Co. Antrim, along Ireland's scenic Causeway Coast.
Claire and her husband Alex have 3 children and love to take them on outdoor adventures locally, the coastal colours of Ballintoy and Ballycastle often inspire her knitwear palette. As a family the McCooke's also enjoy spending time in Donegal and it is here that Claire fell in love with the iconic Aran sweater and also the beautiful wool from Donegal Yarns in Kilcar. Many of the knits made for the Studio are crafted with the flecked Donegal wool.
Bramble Green stocks a wide range of knitwear products for both adutls and children incuding; hand-knit beanies and bonnets, handmade baby booties, irish-craft cardigans and scarves made on the handloom, local Alpaca knits, Donegal socks, aran sweaters made in Ireland and Europe and Scottish Fair Isle produced in Scotland by Eribe Knitwear.
Claire now sells the famous McWilliam's bags of Cork. Made by the sailmakers of Ireland and featured in the movie Top Gun:Maverick.
