Beautiful and feminine, these hand-embroidered wool scarves are statement knits, in a versatile triangular shape. Made with the beautiful wool from Donegal Yarns in Kilcar, Co. Donegal.
Made for our Studio by the talented Rachel Currie. Rachel has knit up these scarves on a hand-operated knitting machine. She has then carefully added decorative flowers by sewing with the wool.
Rachel's Bio:
Rachel is a knitwear designer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She graduated from Ulster University with a degree in Textiles and Fashion with a specialism in Knitwear. Using a hand-operated knitting machine her pieces are handmade from start to finish using a fully-fashioned approach which means there is no waste material in the production. Finding inspiration in her Irish heritage, she draws influence from the Irish landscape and culture and incorporates this into her designs. She has had her work displayed at Pitti Immagine Filati in Florence and was awarded a Future Makers bursary from the Design and Craft Council of Ireland
