Irish Icon Sweater - Handmade in Ireland
These unique sweaters are abstract nods to iconic Irish symbols/scenery and cultural references. Made in Donegal by a small team of artisans using hand-operated knitting machines. The wool is the Tweed range sourced from Donegal Yarns.
The sweaters are knit in 2 lengths - cropped and standard. Measurements below.
The Pebble Beach sweater is a depiction of Ballycastle beach on a warm sunny day. The water looks tropical and the foam creamy. The pebbles in the sand have texture and beauty that our family love to explore.
The Irish Stout sweater is an abstract nod to a favourite drink here. I personally have be known to eat Mussels & Guinness on family trips to Donegal. I use it in my cooking regularly to make stews and cakes.
The current batch of Irish Stout sweaters has an oatmeal collar but not cuff like in some of the photos.
