Our new Pop Art Vest is designed by Claire (owner of Bramble Green). Inspired by the influence of apples in her family life 🍏. The knit is made with 100% merino wool and has a particularly soft texture. Importantly the knit is produced and made in Ireland. [Scroll down for size information].
Apples are perhaps one of the most important crops in Irish history besides the potato. Their importance in folklore is still prevalent today. Traditions related to harvest time, Halloween and romance originate in Celtic culture.
Claire and her husband Alex started planting apple trees in 2015 when moving back to Ireland from
London. At the back of the Studio we have some of our first apple trees that faithfully produce bounty year-after-year. As part of an orchard project the McCooke's are growing several varieties of apple trees in land beside their home. They now have over 100 trees with some really special Irish varieties. 🍏
